Your use of this website, including the booking and enquiry forms, information, text, photos, images, graphics and materials provided on or via the website is governed by the following Terms & Conditions and our Copyright and Privacy policies. By using this website you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

Please read the following terms & conditions carefully. You must not accept any booking unless you understand and agree with the following:

1. Booking Requests & Booking Confirmations

We strive to respond to all booking requests and enquiries as soon as possible, usually within one hour. We will confirm the availability of the room you have requested, or provide answers to your questions. Your email or whatsapp chat will have instructions on how to complete your booking.

You will need to reply to this email/whatsapp chat within the time specified. Your response to this email/whatsapp chat confirms that you have read and understood all of the booking Terms & Conditions set out below.

Pre-payment is required to complete your booking.

Confirmation Bookings cannot be completed or prossessed until payment in full has been received.

If payment in full is not received by the time specified in your email/whatsapp chat stated at the original time of your booking, the booking will be handled as a cancellation, with No Refund (see our Cancellation & Refund Policy - No.8).

Age Requirement: Guests must be 17 years or older to check-in at "Kaluku", with valid KTP, Licence or passport.

2. Pricing Policy

All prices are correct at time of publishing and are subject to change. Whilst every effort is made by us to provide current and correct quotes for your stay, Kaluku Cottages will not be held responsible for human error in quoting tariffs and reserves the right to correct or adjust prices incorrectly quoted.

3. Check-in Time

Check-in time is from 2:00pm until 9:00pm on the day of your arrival.

4. Late Check-in

If you plan on arriving after 9:00pm, please notify us in advance to ensure one of our staff is available to greet you. Unless you have arranged for a late check-in, Kaluku Cottages will not be responsible if you have difficulties checking in after 9:00pm.

5. Check-out Time

Check-out time is by 12:00 midday on the day of your departure.

6. On Arrival

On arrival guests will be asked to present their Booking Confirmation to our Reception staff, and provide their passport or KTP for identification. You will be required to complete and sign a Kaluku Cottages Registration Form, and accept the Terms & Conditions of your stay.

Once these formalities are complete you will be given the keys to your room.

7. Booking Amendments

a) It is your responsibility to notify Kaluku Cottages immediately if there are any changes to your arrival/departure dates, and any amendments to your booking will be dependent on room availability at the time of the request. Please Note: Prior bookings will always take precedence over requests to extend your stay.

b) If the number of people booked to share the bungalow or cottage changes (ie. extra guests), we must be notified immediately of the revised number of people booked so a new rate can be confirmed and extra beds prepared. Confirmations are subject to re-issue if incorrect through error or omission and the guest accepts the liability to then pay the correct cost or to forfeit the booking.

8. Cancellation & Refund Policy

High & *PEAK Season Policy

The main High & *PEAK Season dates for 2023 are:

- 1st July to 31st August

- 21st December to 4th January, 2024

High Season also includes any booking during national & joint holiday periods.

This may include one or two days before and after the National holiday

National holidays include Chinese New Year, Easter, Lebaran Idul Fitri (21-26 April, 2023), Lebaran Haji, Independence Day, Christmas and New Year.

The following Cancellation & Refund Policy applies during High & *PEAK Season:

a) Cancellation made more than 30 days prior to check-in - Full Refund (less any fees incurred).

b) Cancellation/alteration made less than 30 days prior to check-in - No Refund.

c) Early departure - No Refund (please see no.9).

Group Booking Policy

A "Group Booking" is three (3) or more rooms booked together as a group, 365 days of the year.

The Low Season Policy does NOT apply to ANY Group Booking.

The following Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to ALL Group Bookings, ALL year round:

a) Cancellation made more than 30 days prior to check-in - Full Refund (less any fees incurred).

b) Cancellation/alteration made less than 30 days prior to check-in - No Refund.

c) Early departure - No Refund (please see no.9).

Long-Stay Policy

A "Long-Stay" is a booking of seven (7) days or more.

A minimum stay period applies to receive discounted rates.

The Low Season Policy does NOT apply to ANY Long-Stay Booking.

The following Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to ALL Long-Stay Bookings, ALL year round:

a) Cancellation made more than 30 days prior to check-in - Full Refund (less any fees incurred).

b) Cancellation/alteration made less than 30 days prior to check-in - No Refund.

c) Early departure - No Refund (please see no.9).

Low Season Policy

Low Season dates for 2023 are:

- 5th January to 30th June

- 1st September to 20th December.

Low Season excludes any booking during national & joint holiday periods (see High & *PEAK Season above).

The following Cancellation & Refund Policy applies during Low Season:

a) Cancellation made more than 30 days prior to check-in - Full Refund (less any fees incurred).

b) Cancellation/alteration made between 30 days and 14 days prior to check-in - 50% refund of the "total room rate" for the booked dates (less any fees incurred).

c) Cancellation/alteration made less than 14 days prior to check-in - No Refund.

d) Early departure - No Refund (please see no.9).

We recommend that you protect yourself with travel insurance when travelling to Indonesia.

Please Note: We incur a 6% processing fee on all PayPal payments. This will be charged on any cancellation with PayPal, and any refund will be credited back to the original account used for pre-payment. Exchange rates change on a daily basis and Kaluku Cottages is not liable for any variance in the rate at the time of refund.

9. Early Departures

Unfortunately "Early Departures" often result in empty rooms which can be difficult to fill on short notice. Therefore an early departure, or checking out before the final day of your original booking, will be handled as a cancellation, with No Refund (see our Cancellation & Refund Policy).

10. No Show (non-arrival)

No refund will be given in the event of a "No Show" or non-arrival. We recommend that you protect yourself from unforeseen circumstances when you are travelling in Indonesia with travel insurance.

11. Accommodation

Every effort is made by us to ensure that your accommodation is of the type you have requested with the facilities you have asked for. Occasionally however, circumstances beyond our control or without our knowledge may occur. Under such conditions every effort will be made to meet your requests, however please note Kaluku Cottages will not be responsible for any loss, inconveniences or liabilities arising from these circumstances.

12. Damage & Loss

Any loss, breakage or damage to the property, furniture or furnishings by the guest must be reported to the manager of Kaluku Cottages immediately.

The guest may be charged a repair or replacement cost if the damage is considered serious or deliberate.

13. Replacement Cost

The guest WILL be charged a replacement cost for the following items:
a) Loss of room keys - Rp500.000 (per room)
b) Loss or damage to Air-Con/AC remote control - Rp750,000 (per remote)
c) Loss or damage to TV remote control - Rp500,000 (per remote)
d) Loss or damage to hammock - Rp500,000 (per hammock)

14. Security & Complaints

a) Excessive noise is not permitted at Kaluku Cottages as it can cause disruption to other guests and neighbours. Security may be called to investigate complaints of excessive noise or anti-social behaviour incurring a charge for call out. After one warning guests may be evicted for breeching any of these Terms & Conditions.

b) Please Note: Topless or nude sunbathing and swimming is strictly prohibited!

15. Privacy

Your privacy is important to Kaluku Cottages. Please read our Privacy policy for details on how we collect and handle your personal information.

16. Links

This website may contain links to other sites. These links are meant for your convenience only. Kaluku Cottages makes no claim or representation, and accepts no responsibility, regarding the quality, nature, or reliability of the sites accessible by hyperlinks from this website, or sites linking to this website.

17. Copyright Information

Kaluku Cottages has a very strict policy on Copyright and Copyright Infringement. Please read our Copyright policy for more details.

18. Disclaimer

a) Please Note: www.kalukucottages.com is the only authorized website to receive booking enquiries and confirm direct bookings. Any bookings or payments made through third party websites are unauthorized, and as such, will not be recognized by Kaluku Cottages.

b) Kaluku Cottages does not accept liability for any indirect or consequential loss arising out of the use of or connected with the website or for any services provided by the website.

c) Whilst we take every precaution to avoid double bookings, on rare occasions this may occur. This may happen when we agree to a booking (1) and then a subsequent booking (2) is inadvertently processed and entered into our system before the first booking (1). In such a case, the booking first agreed to (1) takes preference and the latter booking (2) will be cancelled. Any booking payment paid by the latter booking will be refunded in full. Kaluku Cottages will not be liable under such circumstances.

19. Changes to these Terms & Conditions

Kaluku Cottages reserves the right to make amendments to these Terms & Conditions at any time. If you have objections to any of our Terms & Conditions, you should not proceed with a booking.
